Hello guys! Im planning on building a new pc next month and I wonder if the creative sound blaster z will power the hd 650 correctly!

I want them to be 100% powered. There impedance are 300ohm and the soundcards built in amp delivers 600ohm. Im new to amps and dacs and the creatives are about 100 bucks. I see all these threads where they use dacs for 200 bucks to power them and I get kind of confused becuase they are the dubble the price! Is it the sound quality or the amps that make the dacs so expensive and is the sound blaster z good enough to power them up 100%?

The SB-Z should be able to power the Senn HD650, but I would assume it's not the best choice for driving the HD650.
An Asus Xonar Essence STX or SB-ZxR would be a little better choice.
You might find a good deal on a used Essence STX on eBay.

Or get an Asus Xonar DX or D1 sound card (used, $60) and any external headphone amplifier your willing to budget for.

You might try asking on this thread about what works well at driving the HD650s..
