Hey guys,
 
I have been looking into the alessandro/grado family for awhile now, and I have some questions:
 
I currently have: sony xb500, pannisonic rp htf600s, and the koss pro dj 100.
 
I  also heard that the ms1i is more laid back than the grado sr60i/80i.
 
Since I have these other phones, I am wondering if the ms1i is too similar to the cans that I have.
 
If so, I am then between the sr60i/sr80i.
 
Please help me decide!!
 
(I will be using these phones for rock and rock only)

I know about two of your three cans--and yes it would be different.  Further the MS1 is very good at what it does.  However, you did not mention how or for what genres of music you planned to use it.
 
Another suggestion is that you should post questions like this on the "Recommendations" thread in this same section of the forum.  If you had posted there originally,  there probably would have been no reason to bump.
