Yes, and most if not all of those third party apps aren’t that great. The point being made here is that the WiiM Mini can uniquely be cast to from the Amazon Music app so has access, without restriction, to all the features of that app rather than relying on a less functional third party interface. All BlueOS devices support Amazon Music directly from their app. Bluesound Node and others.
Good point and certainly one of valid use cases. However I always prefer to use mobile app only as controlling app, while the stream itself flows from the service to the end point (streamer) without going through the mobile phone. This is how Spotify connect, Tidal connect works. Or ROON architecture.Yes, and most if not all of those third party apps aren’t that great. And AlexaCast which is what the Amazon Music app uses to cast to echos - and the WiiM Mini.Good point and certainly one of valid use cases. Thanks for extending my knowledge, I wasn't aware of that, as I never personally used Amazon Music. And AlexaCast which is what the Amazon Music app uses to cast to echos - and the WiiM Mini.
Very true, but I am a Mac user, and the app although I have an M1 will not function as other apps will in the sense of being able to run an iPhone app on desktop, it's one of the few music/streaming apps that doesn't function for me, it just crashes on startup. You can always install the Android Wiim app under the Android Subsystem for Windows till their native app matures
