Hi guys, hope you're all well.

There's a very simple technique that is used in audio processing to narrow and widen a stereo image.  I used to use it all the time during production and even coded a plugin which did it too back when there were limited options.  The algorithms involved are simply mixing left and right channels in different ways so there's zero colouration and I personally find this technique really helps open headphones which naturally have less width (e.g. the Audeze range).

I would love to see what your thoughts are:

You may use the free Voxengo MSED plugin from http://www.voxengo.com/product/msed, set mode to INLINE and simply bring down the Mid Gain knob to widen the image.

Would love to hear your thoughts.  I find that it works incredibly well with binaural recordings too.

Cheers :)
