Why would ya put $3000 headphones on the floor to take a photo to show how well you’ve treated them?

I cringe with pain when I see photos like this. To me personally it indicates the care with which the owner has treated them! Not reassuring in any way.

How are they harmed to be placed on the floor? It's a decent backdrop for those cans.

The floor looks good, its clean and similar color to the cans. I see nothing wrong with it

Actually if you look closely, you can see scuff marks on the edges of the magnesium hangers (right where the earcups would pivot).

This would indicate wear on the finish from it being placed on a surface that would cause the scuffing.

But as for taking a picture on a hardwood floor, it's a nice floor. Now if it were taken on a bathroom floor......

But then again, how do you know if that's a picture of a floor? Looks actually more like a table top if you ask me.

The only photo that that would be disturbing in that regard, would be me handling/wearing the headphones.. because that would probably be the last record of the phones being in one piece.
