Why there are not many western brands creating DAP?

I wonder how good those DAC adapters are for cell phones (that you connect earphones to)?

A western company would probably rather just create one of those, than a standalone dap.

Indeed, Chord Mojo is such a device actually designed, engineered, and manufactured in UK. And it is quite excellent :)

Yeah, but a little pricey. My Ziku HD X10 was $60 Canadian. Not everyone needs the best dap in the world. :wink:

Yeah but it's not a DAP so I was off topic :D Anyway, it's good to have options and the Mojo is really good for what it is. If it breaks there are people willing and able to fix it as opposed to disposable phone-style hardware

It's $500 in Canadian and one person found their iPhone 6S better in sound. I'm not really interested in carrying around a $500 dap.
