Why SHOULDN'T I get an iAudio X5?

I too am in this situation. I just bought the E4C's, and they are REALLY inadequate with the iPod. I ideally want an ampless solution, and the iAudio X5 seems to have pretty good sound quality (???)

The x5 has great sound I personally love it
I had a Rio Karma before it and the wife has a Iriver h10 5gb
The Iaudio x5 is almost the same size of the Iriver h10, it's not huge..maybe somebody just has child size hands
As for id3 I can wait, there is no better dap at the moment so I don't really have a choice anyway

I cannot think of a good reason not to purchase an iAudio X5.
It is not the best player, but it has good features over what is
currently available.

I have been saving for a new DAP also (to rest my fav iRiver H120.)
It is a toss up now between the iAudio X5L (hopefully in the 30GB, or higher
capacity versions,) or the Sony HD-5 or Vaio Pocket. The only thing I don't
like about the Sony DAPS are the dependent loading poor software. But the
price is right for the Vaio Pocket 40gb $249.99 straight and dropping.
However, I like the USBOTG fuctionality and the Vaio Pocket doesn't really
have that functionality, and I need the drag drop easy way of loading the
player (The Sony DAPS allow drag and drop, but I don't think that the audio
files loaded via drag and drop are playable through the Sony DAPS, the SONY
DAPS will load the files into a data folder. Only songs loaded via SonicStage
or with the Vaio music handler software can be played by the DAPS. I think.
The Vaio loads via drag and drop with a Vaio software application, but you need to load that software along with SonicStage on the other computers you plan on loading from or uploading to. Too cumbersome.)

True USBOTG support allows the player to be connected to other players, other USB storage devices, computers, etc. without software dependence which I (and others) are interested in.

The iAudio X5 looks very good for: battery duration, multiple audio format
playback including LOSSLESS, user settable EQ, playlists-on-the-fly, drag
drop no software needed to load the player, true supported USBOTG, clock
with alarms, video playback, audio line-out, and CONTINUED FIRMWARE
SUPPORT with more features to be added.

I have yet to read a head-to-head comparison between the
X5/iRiver/Sony/Ipod/Creative/Karma/etc.
offerings. Just posts that report that the X5 sounds favorable over some of
the current offerings.

I have the X5 and really like it, i can think of almost no reason not to except the sub pack. It dosent bother me much, but i would have prefered the connections built in (at LEAST the charging!) I really do love it, and highly reccomend it. The non L series is just as small as an ipod, and looks damn nice.
