i'll admit i have most of those songs too... mostly from really bad 80's comps, but they'll never find their way into my iPod.

No way! Some of those songs rule and you should be proud of them. I love the theme song to Jewel of the Nile "When the Going Gets Tough..." and the theme to License to Drive "Get Outta My Dreams.." both by Billy Ocean.

Toto's "Rosanna" is awesome, too. It's about Rosanna Arquette, she was hot in the 80's! And Cetera's Glory of Love is the theme to Karate Kid so it's cool by default as well.

I used to have a music folder on my pc entitled "Embarrassing Music" before the hard drive crashed. It had some gems:

Mr. T - "Treat Your Mother Right" (LOL!)

Joey Lawrence - "There's Nothing My Love Can't Fix" (this is the greatest song of all-time. You will die of laughter. Download this now! WHOA)

Falco - "Amadeus" (holy crap! Awesome!)

Jennifer Paige - "Crush" (well this one's not really funny, I just like it

)

And I have Wilson Phillips' "Hold On" on my Extreme Mix Vol. 1

Hmmm...

Oh, I have a Gwen Stefani CD on one of my ipods, I think. It was on there, anyway.

Do you guys really go to the trouble of loading individual songs on your daps? I guess I am old fashioned, or lazy (actually both, now that I think about it) but I think of music in terms of groupings. The idea of plucking a single song out of an album, or suite, or symphony, just seems like reading just the last page of a book. Chalk it up as another character flaw of mine

IMO Billy Ocean really had a pretty skillful backup band going. Not the world's most talented singer, but he's not bad.

There's definitely some good stuff in that list, IMO. And some really cheesy stuff, too. Not gonna waste time sorting out which is which, people can make up their own minds.

not 80's rock but I wont let my friends browse through my ipod because of certain artists

Dido - Both CD's
Avril - A few of her Albums
Alanis Morissette - jagged little pill x2 + MTV Unplugged
Donnie Darko Soundtrack
Our lady peace - all of their albums
TATU- Both albums
Semisonic - Closing time
Vanessa Carlton - both albums
Weezer - 4 of their albums

on the note of (what I beleive to be) 80's rock... how come no one ever told me dream theater was soo good!? listening to Scenes From a Memory... great album...
