Welcome to the hallowed land of Dream Theater.

SFAM is regarded as their best, any band in exsistance would struggle to top it, but there are other songs which are better on other albums. In a similar vein to that, also try out 'Ayreon'.

Ditto! SFAM is awesome ! The live metropolis dvd is really good too, and live in budokan is even better. John Petrucci is also on the new G3 (steve vai, joe satriani) live in tokyo album and dvd. Speaking of sfam, the little "bass solo" on "the dance of eternity" blows my mind every time I hear it !

Back on topic, I have the osmond song "down by the lazy river" and "muskrat love" on my ipod, the shame factor is through the roof on those.

No, my smart playlists do that for me

It may happen when you use playcounts and ratings a lot that you end up with an iPod full to the brim but a lot of it just being single songs / favourite songs. I try to avoid it by limiting the size of my SPs and by also keeping a regular "must be on iPod" list. Just another reminder to save up for that 80GB iPod due any day now

I recently procured a fleabay Karma that had, among other things, MJ Number Ones in wma, which I've moved onto my hard drive. What do you do with such a thing? Delete a perfectly [sic]good[/sic] album?

I have a number of those listed by Jahn and others. Maybe they fall into the "guilty pleasures" category. I won't tell if you don't.

Now if you really want to embarrass yourself, admit to having Hanson on your iPod. (I don't!) My (then teenage) daughter hated them and their songs (Mmmmbop for one). But she had a good friend who loved Hanson and often drove my daughter nuts singing along whenever they were played on the radio, etc.

[I'll give you a hint...Smurfs, Chipmunks, and Lion King]

hey hey now. FATA's debut album is IMO some of the best music a metalcore band has put out...

Mars Volta also is nothing to be ashamed of :P

Ok, here it goes guys: Linkin Park =(

I lose.

Not an iPod here either (iRiver H120), but for some reason I feel ashamed of having the first three albums by The Cardigans (4th was more "respectable")

Sometimes I say to myself it's because Nina Persson looked and sounded so sexy (pathetic, I know)... but in the end I know it's just that I liked those damned easy kitschy songs... arggh!!

TATU is awesome so long as they are confined to the 'Photos' category, even more acceptable provided they remain on a 2'' screen

I have some pretty awesomely bad music around, hell my theme song directory has like 100 songs in it, but there is one artist who takes badness to a whole new level. Wesley Willis is that artist. I don't think a worse musician has ever existed. Wesley Willis is what you put on when you want people to leave. And yet, as a musician I find him truly inspirational. He reminds me that music doesn't have to make you think to be enjoyable, its best when you just let it flow and stay out of your own way.

Rock over London, rock on Chicago.
Wesley Willis, breakfast of champions.
