Why is it that all the people looking to buy an HE90 are very new?

An HE90 possibly for sale. All the HE90s I see here, most of the offers to buy them come from people who have just registered or have very few posts. Why is that? I just find it a little odd

I think it is because most of the people that can actually afford the he90 don't have any time to browse around forums aimlessly like many of us

I don't find it surprising at all. Many of the people who can afford to buy the HE90 are probably very high-end audiophiles who don't really have the time or desire to take in interest in our KSC-75 and Grado SR-60 discussions

there are a lot of people who just want to buy something, and dont want to look for it much. some of these people want only the best (or most expensive...) and they have found it hard.

Maybe theres audiofiles out there that just recently discovered this site, but still are audiofiles? I think that maybe there's other ways of becoming an audiofile, than just the way we know of (posting on this forum). But what do I know...

I don't know how much the registered dates really mean. I've been lurking around this place since at least 2003 personally but only actually signed up this year.

people come in, ask for the best, buy it and get out... they are not on an addictive mission like us "audiophiles."

Unless you want to post a thread, respond to a thread or contact a member there's no reason to register.

People are probably lurking and learning. When they see something they want they then register and make a move.

I sold an item to a guy who never posted before and his first post was Feedback from our transaction.

I sold something to another guy who had No posts. I told him to not bother with Feedback since having 0 posts was unique.

maybe you were preoccupied planning a middle eastern war.

oh, and I think nikongod's probably closest to the truth. noobs with a lot of money who're willing to just blow it on whatever they think is going to be the best.
