Given the resurgence in interest in orthodynamic (planar magnetic / isodynamic) cans in recent years, the availability of cheap, powerful portable amps (e.g. Fiio E12), and the advances in material technology allowing more efficient planar diaphragms and magnets to be used, why has no manufacturer launched a sealed, on-ear portable ortho? I believe that Yamaha had a whole range of such products in the '70s and '80s...
I know that we are talking about a niche market, but it is surely larger than the market for some of the more exotic IEMs!
