We all have different reasons for disliking different musicians.
 
I happen to think that Prince is very talented and shows quite a variety of musical skills with his albums. The influences he references are huge, Psychedelia, Beatles, hard rock, Hendrix, the obvious Soul and Blues references, he is quite good at that.
Some of his singles have been very enjoyable.
That said, I've never been a fan. Respect the guy, think he's got talent, but normally not my cup of tea.

There's a lyric that goes "I was born in New Jersey.  I've learned not to expect too much".  You must not be native to have such disappointed expectations!

I love everything from Danny Kaye to Mogwai but anything that has to do with new hip-hop, now days its all about money and girls no meaning no story like old school hip hop. )

Nope, never had expectations from any of them.

And, yes, not born in N.J., but many of my friends who were born in the Garden State would agree with my list.
I guess another interesting thread would be most hated musical artist that you had high expectations for, but then again I never expect much from popular music. Therefore I can be all the happier when I find music that I really like.
