I keep hearing about this 'phenomena', and recently discovered the The Dawn & Drew Show (while they were here in SF), and was wondering which Head-Fiers been listening? Any Podcasts to recommend?

Thanks Mike. Will try it out.

Since Apple just integrated Podcast support into iTunes, let me pose the question again. Who's listening and to what?

So far I'm giving the following a shot...

The Al Franken Show
The Dawn & Drew Show
KQED's Forum
Cinema Playground - Quote of the Day

OK so last night I subscribed to 3 podcasts.

BBC News World - This is a COMPUTER GENERATED VOICE reading 20-second news overviews (i.e. one podcast episisode is 20 seconds long) What?!

Indie Airplay - 30 minute episodes. This one seems OK, although I know zero about indie music.

Spacemusic - 1 hour ambient music episodes. Decent for that spaced-out-ambient stuff hosted by a personable Dutch DJ who thankfully speaks only at the beginning and/or end of the episodes.

Anyway, I'm looking for some better ones, too. Maybe some nice talk-radio type things but not the Howard Stern/Opie and Anthony type or Z Morning Zoo type nonsense.

I've been listening to podcasts for a while now. My fav's include:

Daily Source Code (Of Course)
The PK & J Show
Verge of the Fringe
Coverville (Mainly cover songs)
Major Nelson.com (Xbox News)
DVD Talk Radio
Reel Reviews
Digital Flotsam (Sorta like NPR)
Podcheck Weekly Reviews

All of which can be found by searching www.podcastalley.com

One 'phenomenon' you can get a good taste of with podcasting is Mashups, which are basically someone combining 2 or more mainstream songs into one mix.
