. Now I want to give them a shot. By the time I get around to it, you would have bought them all

Blame Beyerdynamics.. They have the DT48a/DT48S/DR48e then the ohms vary from 5,8,25, 200, 250, 600.. & each one sounds a little different then the next.. I just need the NAGRA DT48s 25ohm, the orignal DT48 from 1937 & 1 more.. If you buy one, get one of the vintage models, & get them cheap.. One headfier got his for 25.00, another 60.00.. The vintage models usually sell between 125-175.. The used newer models sell for around 250-275. Beyer has them listed as 449.00. (MSRP) Some stores actually sell then for almost 500, which is BS..

I usually rebuy my favorite headphones.

1. Grado SR60 (What brought me into the audiophile world)
2. Sennheiser IE8 (Probably favorite IEM... UM3X was its main competitor for me)
3. Denon AH-D2000 (My favorite headphone under the d7000/RS1 price I think)
4. Grado RS-1 (It's funny, I went from SR60 to RS1, back down to SR60i to RS1i)

All of these were bought twice, but all have been sold again except my IE8s. Replaced them about six months ago with my hd800s.

The issue here is no, I have never sold a pair and wanted them back. I do wish 12 years ago I would have purchased 2 sets of Sony mdr cd 870s. I wish could have kept a pair in a box all this time. For that very reason I now own two pairs of the most hated k701s, just in case. One gets used one does not.

Stax Sigma Normals - one to turn into a Sigma 404
ER4Ps - one for a fellow HeadFi-er who I knew would want them
Stax Lambda Normals - was silly to sell the first set

I wasn't intending on buying the same headphone again but I ended up buying a recabled and modded RX700 last week and I do have to say that I'm enjoying it. Not exactly the same headphone but it's the thought that counts, right?

Multiple Koss KSC75s for the computers and portable setup. The UE triple.fi 10 Pro is also another example.

I bought my first set of Porta Pro's in 1986. Bought my second set in 2009. That's the only headphone I have ever bought twice. I currently own some that if something were to happen to them...I would repurchase.

I purchased a fake pair of PX100's, joined Head-fi and found out they were fake, then acquired a legitimate pair. I guess that doesn't really count.

I also purchased a pair of Grado SR-225's, wasn't impressed, then got a pair of SR-225i's and was rather satisfied with them until I needed to finance an amp and so, sold 'em as well.
