I am still trying to decide on speaker cables. I was really considering the Anti-cable untill i stumbled across this:

The FIM would be a lot cheaper to do myself and as far as i gather be just as good. Has anyone experimented with this wire? Would it work using this as speaker cable?

I haven't tried that particular cable, but I do know you can get good results experimenting with different cables.

I use (believe it or not) the heaviest gauge extension cords from Home Depot. You probably don't have Home Depot in Australia (or do you?) but it's a large American chain that sells home building and repair supplies. I'd think you'd have a large hardware chain selling something similar there.

I just did cut the plugs off the ends and soldered on banana plugs. Not my original idea; I read about this on the Internet years back.

They work great and there's no reason to spend lots of money on cables.
