My recent tweak was trying the iFi iematch+. I liked the effect so much I bought a custom made -24db passive attenuation that used XLR to 4.4mm Instead of 3.5mm to 3.5mm of the iematch.
Both resulted in a much better range with the volume level with my tube amp. I haven’t notice any lost to sound quality and allows me to play around with different tube gain on the Wells Audio Dragon Amp. There are not a lot of tube amps that work well with iem’s and this device can help if your amp out-powers your iems.
