Yeah I must agree too. OG Hifiman HE6 and LCD-4 are the best in this regard. Unfortunately both are discontinued. You can find more LCD-4s though on the used market.
Sure thing! You'll see that a lot of people prefer it over the LCD-5 (myself included).Super thanks guys.
No wonder why the LCD-4s are still keep its value on the used market.
Oh just to clarify, the HE6 everyone is referring to is not the HE6SE v2.Yep! I think its true from the review I have read recently.
The LCD4 or the HE6v2 are also hard to find on the classified listings.
Roger that. Only original HE6 has the big bass slam.Oh just to clarify, the HE6 everyone is referring to is not the HE6SE v2.
The v2 can be had for $550 new from Adorama at least once a year, and should be less than $475 used. It's also available open box for $610 direct from Hifiman.
The OG HE6 is what they're referring to.
The early ones were 4 screw, then later were 6 screw. But have not heard the OG HE6's personally.Roger that. Only original HE6 has the big bass slam.
Is it the one also mentioned with that 6 screws identifications?
They're a little hard to come by. I've seen the 4 screw anywhere from $1500 up.What do OG HE6's tend to go for when they do pop up on the used market?
Though the Hifiman Arya still my all-time favorite head phone but I still long for some more bass slam from it.
the 6 screw occasionally has gone as low as $850, but figure $900-$1k for average. Keep in mind it could be up to 11 years old. If its a modified "Code Sex", $1500 or more, and maybe 5 have hit the market in the past 3 years. What do OG HE6's tend to go for when they do pop up on the used market?
Yes no doubt the D8000 is far better but the cost difference is vast.Final D8000. I have a HE6se V2 here too, even off a speaker amp, D8000 schools it.
Only can above the D8000 might be the 1266, but it has its other drawbacks.
