I love the blingy look of the FD5 but also like the look of the FA7 which has a standard IEM shell.

One interesting thing about the FA7 is that it has Left and Right indicators printed inside a circuit board which is very unique.

Ultimately, the only thing that matters about IEM design is comfort, looks are eye candy.

I am confused by the description of the IEMs in the pictures! It says FH3 has a „custom like design“ and the FA9 a „simple design“. I feel it is completely the other way round???

That besides, me, I like all of the designs above, except the round FD5s…

Generally, I think most Fiio IEMs look great and set themselves apart!

comfort is key, but I suppose a poll regarding FiiO iem comfort would limit the input from users…

having played with the beautiful FH9 instore recently, the design feeling every bit truly worthwhile (even more so when compared to vastly more expensive IEMs from other manufacturers), the amount of hang from my head/ears meant I probably couldn’t sleep with them in (with my head sideways).
given I have gotten used to full sized overears (and a funky pillow arrangement) a little ‘jut’ I can handle (and facing the roof)..

I suppose the question becomes understated fashion or ‘check these out fashion’.
Before beats made wearing big/expensive headphones ‘fashionable’, ‘understated was always preferred’.

I found the FH9 a lot larger than I’d imagined, and a side by side photo above would at least allow some aspects of the designs to be compared.
although I guess the poll is more about ‘design language’ for future products…

I like the FA7 a lot on the A&K SR25 MKII. Normally the mids sound recessed, but that’s largely alleviated thanks to the special coloration in the DAP.

edit: @FiiO poor poll design, the photo positions do not match up with the polling options and the photos are small (at least on ipad safari), with tiny labels, would be easy to get a lot of incorrect polling data, arguably, due to ‘user error’.

Thanks so much for the reminding. I will pay attention about that next time. The pictures have been fixed.
