I've tried a few different pairs of IEM's (UM2's, ER6i's, E500's) in the past and found that my TH didn't impact the overall sound very much. I was wondering if anyone has experience with IEM's, or earbud's, that benefit greatly from using an amp?

eytmotic ER-4S and to a lesser extent the ER-4P but the bottom end really comes out with a good amp.

My Super.fi 5 Pros really benefit from my iQube. They get a much larger soundstage, much more bass impact and they sound really clean now. I can understand every single word, but I can't translate them with my limited english skills

. (Would be a nice feature for amps in the future)

Edit: I want to add another thing: The amp makes the music much more 3D like.

IM716 sounds much better with an amp. OTOH, I did not hear much difference (maybe none) when I used an amp with the Westone UM1. If anything, the hiss level seemed to increase.

Livewires!.. one bad side effect of its sensitivity is that music from my laptop comes with lots of noise, and just 1/10 of the volume is too loud. I only listen from my ipod now.
