Those are the headphone wizard results I got. I want over the head style, probably closed. I'm going to be using these on my PC for gaming / a lot of music. I want something that sounds good and is comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I was thinking about the Sennheiser HD280 Pro, but reviews are saying that they're uncomfortable and heavy, so I guess I can't do that. I'd also like to stay under $100.

So, what do you guys think?

Is there really a good reason for you to get closed? As for Senn HD280, they are comfortable to wear for long period of time, at least on my head.

x2 A500, a great gaming can, awesome soundstange and powerful bass. Closed and extremely comfortable. Doesn't need an amp either. Good for music, amazing for movies. And for $90 a really good value.

Forget everything about the HD280's and go for the Equation Audio RP21's.

just put the HD280's out of your mind, forget everything you've heard or read, and get the RP21's.

I'd really suggest you get the A500. Its known for gaming applications. Stop listening to these FOTM hacks, and you'll wind up with decent headphones for a change.

Well I'm mostly going to be listening to music with them, so that's the #1 priority. Would you still recommend the A500's? What's the difference between the two? They seem to be the same thing, I just like the way the RP21s look. That would obviously take a backseat to sound quality though.

Keep in mind a500 have pleather pads that will peal and look like 5h17 while d1000 have real leather that will stay where it is,etc...
