My old Ultrasone Proline 650 had VERY strong sub-bass region. HFI-700 (or HFI-650 DVD) should have even more, as it is said to be bass-enhanced version of HFI-650 Trackmaster which uses same drivers as Proline 650. Ultrasone HFI-550 Beatmaster should have very strong and deep bass too, stronger than HFI-650.

Soo....if my amp (Supermini) gets here before I die, which version of the DT-770 should I buy for the best quality of bass?
250ohms?? Made before or after 2005??
And I'm assuming that I can't get the 250ohms for $145, too, right?

Each version (80 & 250) can be made into Darth Beyer, correct?

I think Larry prefers to use the 80 Ohm version. I don't know if he even uses any other versions. I'd like to learn why if this is true.

I would also like to know the answer to this one. Also, how would the 80 Ohm version fare against the 250 Ohm version when using an amp? I'm somewhat of a basshead

For some reason, when I read that I got a visual of a pair of Beyer's with a whoopie cushion strapped to each earcup.
