Back in September the paint on my HD650 started to chip on the headband, so I decided to take all of it off. I finally got around to sanding them down the other day, but I am now unsure what colour I should paint them. Any suggestions?

Glossy piano black paint?

EDIT: That is the classy option. The more obvious option is, of course, flames.

Glossy piano black was on my list with glossy pearl white...

oooh glossy pearl white would certainly make it look unique, but i'm having trouble visualizing it blending in nicely with the rest of the 650 color scheme.

Best way to avoid any 'perfect mstch' problems is to go 'outrageous' pink!

Well, everything got sanded down, except the grilles. I may get HD600 grilles, so it would be glossy pearl white with black grilles.

Yea, I'm stuck between the two. Black would match the rest if the equipment on my desk, whereas white would boldly stick out.

Also, does anyone know the current price to grilles? I am also looking into replacement frame parts (headband, earcup holder, and frame; to maybe change the colour back and forth if I want to), can you order those from Sennheiser?

I think I would go for the white finish not even glossy, maybe matt finish, will be very unqiue indeed, since everyone else has suggested another colour, I'll go with chrome lol or radioactive green.

Please post pics of project log
