I'm dividing the bass difference between the K501 and the HD650 into 10 slots. In case someone thinks the bass in the K701 will fall somewhere outside that range, I'm leaving out of range options: -x for negative, meaning weaker than K501, and 10+ meaning stronger than the HD650.

The idea is to accummulate here people's impressions after auditioning the K701's, so I'm making the poll public in order to discourage trigger-free voting.

Note: Please understand the scale in the poll is just a relative separation between the 501 and the 650. If you would prefer, imagine the true separation between the 501 and the 601 as far as bass goes would be 100 and 110, or 1000 and 1010. The scale here is just a subdivision of their relative bass separation in ten slots.

All we can do is guess at the moment. From the information I got and since the K 701's bass is said to be weaker than the DT 880's, it has to be very close to the K 501. Which is a fine headphone, absolutely, but just lacked enough bass to not entirely satisfy my sonic demands.

Yes few people have heard them. The idea is to start accummulating people's impressions on the K701 bass here over time, not necessarily to start gathering votes right away. But educated guesses are welcomed as well.
