Forgive me if this is in the wrong forum but I couldn't see anywhere more appropriate.

I have kinda be bitten by the mobile audio bug. My current setup is an ipod video(30gig) and a pair of UE super fi 5 pros....................I am wondering weather it would be worth adding an amp(few and far between in the uk) or weather I would be better re-ripping my audio collection at a higher bit rate (currently its at a mixture of 128 and 196 with both mp3/4 and acc formats)

Any thoughts folks?

Many thanks

To be honest I'd recomment both, especially since one doesn't cost anything and is beneficial in general.

As for amps, you're on the internet. Everything is plentiful everywhere here. I certainly noticed a worthwhile difference when I started using an amp with my iPod and IEMs.

1. Go to lossless (you can always convert from lossless to lossy but not the other way around)

2. Get and amp

3. iMod your iPod

And so on until you take out a loan because that's how it is around here for the wallet.
