Hi there

Apart from here of course, Ebay and Audiogon in the USA & Audiophilecandy, Pink Fish media, Classic Hifi and Ex-dem Hifi in the UK, I assume there must be other good forums or For sale sites for Used Hi fi.

I have done a search here with no luck does anyone have any good suggestions please?

Craigslist in your local area. That's good for vintage and the occasional high-end, but Audiogon is probably your best bet.

CanuckAudioMart if you're Canadian.

check your local flea market and thrift store. They might have some stuff that you want (very rarely)

I'm a huge fan of Craigslist. You have the option of auditioning/inspecting the gear before you decide to purchase.
