Hi everyone,

I'm planning on building my first headphone amp soon (CMoy) and I'm looking to buy a few different Op Amps to play around with.

I'm having trouble finding a place that carries a all of the stuff I'm looking for as I don't want to buy from separate places and get slammed with handling charges.

I have the OPA2132PA so far, but I'm also looking for a place to buy the AD8066, and OPA2227. I'm also seeing alot of odd additions to the model numbers when I'm finding them on websites. Like Digi-key shows the OPA2227 as "OPA2227PA-ND" and I'm not sure if this is the right thing. Digi-Key also says it supplies a bunch of different AD8066's and I'm very confused by which one to get (there are like 15 different things listed).

Thanks.

opa2227 seems only available at mouser...
the different postfixes usually have to do with:
-package. soic-8, pdip-8, cerdip, mssop, etc
-temperature range. commercial (about 0-85°c, depending on interpretation), industrial or military (-55 - 125c°)
-different specs. burr brown has for example some versions with better DC voltage specs (useless in audio - so buy the cheaper one).
-outer packaging. some variants are packed on a tape, for automatical placement on pc boards

OPA2132PA - p means pdip package, a means worse dc specs (doesn't matter in audio, but price for the A version is sometimes only half of the non-A version!)

pleeeaaaasee get at least one AD chip, else you might start to think that all this talking about amps is way to overrated (I started to think so...)

yes, the second one is in soic-8 package. mssop isn't really used in diy projects, except if you want to build the worlds smallest cmoy
