I was about to order DT 770 Pro 80's this morning off ebay for $150 from a seller called CobraSonics but unfortunately with my luck it's not longer listed for sale. Does anyone know where else I can buy them for this cheap? If not I guess i'll just settle for KRK KNS-8400's or M50's.

I wouldn't get an extended warranty on headphones. You have 2 year from the manufacturer. If anything is going to fail, it will most likely fail in the first year. And besides, the 770/80 is a tank.

I don't know if you see my reply in the other thread. Just check with CobraSonics periodically, sometimes they re-stock couple days later.

And there's another seller: hitechdirectco, they have more in stock but with slightly higher price, about $165. Their reviews are good too, but a fairly new seller compares to CobraSonics. Good luck!

What are the odds! I purchased the headphones that you are talking about here.  I found some that are $10 more on Ebay here.  Sorry about that...

I was recommended the 80 ohms, would I see no difference with the 250 ohms? I have an MBox 2 and FiiO E10.

You can use the 250 Ω version with the FiiO E10. Compared to the 80 Ω, it has a coiled cord, slightly less bass (but still more than neutral sub-bass), and slightly more and more extended treble.

Actually you were lucky that happened- the DT770 pro 80 are the worst closed headphone I've heard (and I've heard many) due to their sloppy overwhelming bass and shrill metallic treble.  I haven't heard the 250 or 600 ohm versions but many people report that the flawed signature I heard applies only to the 80 ohm model.

from what I have heard the 250ohm sounds identical to the PRO80 but with less bass
