Likewise if you run them out of a Meridian G08 or similar and are using ipod headphones you aren't getting good sound either. Since these are the K1000 after all, you do need a speaker amp of some sort to even drive them. Likewise, as the speaker amp improves the sound may improve. Cables have lots of skepticism compared to other parts of the chain but based on how many people hear differences there is more likely than not some difference between the quality of Ipod Cable, Canare Starquad, Stranded Silver Plated Copper and your Audiophile recable of choice. So simply stated spend a lot of time on the source, and amp and look at recabling options though it isn't completely necessary. |
