Mine came from one of the previous 'Where did your moniker come from?" threads, wherein someone had the idea of using their first initial and last name.

First name, first two initials of last name (C alone is too damn boring

Actually it is supposed to be Glöd. It means glow in Swedish. The dots make all the difference in the pronunciation.

I got mine from Al Bundy becuase I love lounging in front of the TV, watching a footbal game, with an ice cold beer in one hand and the other hand (well you know).

I knew a kid named Thomas Thurman. He ended up being called Thermacool, Thighmaster, Maku Thurma, something in spanish, and some other variations on his name I cant remember.

Great thread!

In college, I majored in philosophy, the western variety. I greatly admired Socrates for his stand on his principles and beliefs. In college, I was able to secure the alias socrates, but once I graduated and got a hotmail account, "socrates" was already taken, so I added my birthday to it, June 3. I've stayed with it since because one, it's easier than trying to come up with something else, and two, it's meaningful and reflects something about me.

During my BBS days, I was White Rider. The reference comes up once or twice in Lord of the Rings, and it's a reference to Gandalf.

Mine is from a Smashing Pumpkins song, titled Saturnine. The word also describes my personality most of the time.

My initials are JM, and each M represents a letter in my last name (ie there are 5 letters). I don't particularly like it now, but I'm stuck with it.
