Howdy- where do I download higher bitrate music without DRM protection?
I read that iTunes has DRM free higher bit rate songs through the EMI catalog. But I can't figure out how to check out those on iTunes.

I'll be using a squeezebox and when I download songs from iTunes I have to use Tunebite to re-record the songs to remove the DRM protection so the songs will play on mys squeezebox.

Cheers,
Robert

I am quite sure this would work.
1. Go to iTunes Store
2. Click "iTunes Plus" on the right side. Under Quick Links
3. Purchase music

Thanks,

this is a great find. Tallis Scholars in 24/96 format.

We need a sticky post with all sources of hirez music for computers.

Cheers

Very happy with the q.

(great selection, too)

I think Amazon stuff is very good. I think the way they encode it is very professional. Very impressed with how its sounds even though it is only 256 bit rate. Sounds great on portable players. I wouldn't get Classical or Jazz from there (Prefer those to be CD) but for a good rock album you can't beat it.

Price is better than iTunes as well.

great selection & samples for download if you like a single track in a cd. half the time, I end up buying a used CD off amazon for a couple dollars more.
