I need some new shoes for school. Mind you that I go to a private school so I need stuff within the dress code, meaning casual/dress type stuff. I have a pair of Timberlands that I wore for freshman-junior year, but I want to maybe get a pair of Dockers or something else. Where are some good online retailers to look for them?

If you know your size for a particular brand, eBay is a terrific place to buy. I've bought most of my shoes there, saved a bundle and only had one pair turn out not to fit.

Just today, I bought a nice pair of NIB Aldens, exactly my size, for $50. Can't beat that anywhere and Alden is one of my favorites.

Same goes for clothes, as well. As long as you know which size to get from a brand, you will save 50%-75% or more over retail.

This is the most important piece of advice.

Zappos FTW. Great place if you can find a good size. They make returning painless as well.
