I felt sucked in as soon as I started looking at tubes amps, and found myself saying - ->

"only 600$?? now thats a deal!!"

Thats also when you know you are crazy, or maybe stupid?

Let's see, i was 15 and was at a friend of a friends house. He had Klipschorns, tube amps and i think a Thorens turntable. He played "Dreamboat Annie", an album i was very familiar with. It blew me away!

When I picked up a pair of SR225s after 3 posts here, only intending to spend £50 or so

It was about 7 months ago when i realized that I "had" to have a pair of grados. It was later that night that I made a deal with someone for an MS-1.

I have been addicted to this site ever since.

When I've started researching and considering purchasing another pair or expensive headphones before my initial order has even arrived!

In late 2003. I had enjoyed some mid-fi stereo equipment as a kid and in high school. When I lived in ATL, I became heavily interested in jazz and ran across this site as an alternative to expensive two channel speaker gear I couldn't afford.

I auditioned the entire Grado line with my best Coltrane and Led Zep CD's. I still believe the 225's are some of the best cans for the money anywhere, but I never fell in love with the RA-1.

A couple of years later, still progressing slowly as funds allow. Funny how at the end of the day, I still love the music more than the gear...

This is a good place. I've never been disappointed with the people or advice found here.
