What piece of cover art (from an album or CD) do you consider your favorite? There's been so many great covers it's a tough call, but give it a shot. If you need art, you can go to Amazon.com for it.

I thought about it myself and this is one that always stuck in my head. Probably because of the attitude and wit behind it. Kraftwerk has themselves photographed in that professional, corny style - coiffed to the hilt like good German businessmen; yet knowing they're a band - and a bizzare one at that - really makes this absurdist cover a treasure. I got such a big kick from it when it came out. (Oh yeah. www.kraftwerk.com is a must visit. A fun minimalist flash site.)

I'll save bandwidth for a change.

Mine is Steve Vai's Passion and Warfare. You really need to see it in detail to see the Yin/Yang of the whole thing. Compare top to bottom and left to right. And the swirl on that Universe (guitar), wow!

chadbang, I think I'm more interested in seeing your personal avator icon be blown up rather than some Kraftwerk album cover.

By the way, aren't they the guys who had that song in the 80s Tour de France? Love that tune.

I really like the cover to Depeche Mode's "A Broken Frame." It looks like a painting but is actually a photo -- LIFE magazine actually used it as the cover for their Best Pictures of the 1980's commemorative issue.

This pict doesn't really do it justice:

They don't have a picture of it, but my favorite CD case would be my Therion - Vovin one, I have a limited edition felt one, it is all black and very nifty.

That Bond cover is art, Vert. Just like their music is about the classics...
