I noticed the difference between my old JVC A-X1 integrated amplifier and my currect straight-from X-Fi Elite Pro soundcard. (which isnt ideal source, but still surprisingly good) My old JVC sounds quite bad...
Maybee i am not understanding the term "drive" its always equated to volume but i dont listen loudly , 65 dbs at most meassure with an spl meter. so i dont want volume I want (in akg 701 case) better sound. Imhaving a hard time believing that an amp will rectify the bass problem with the akgs, though I am ompletley satisfied with the 650s but if you say they will sound better than I guess we will see. |
