so i'm trying to sell this locally on craigslist in socal

athlon64 3200
x800gto
1gb ram
160gb seagate
500w psu
fan controller w/all four fans on
antec case

also have a professional CAD sony trinitron 22"

what do you think? i'm hoping i can get $500 for the pc, but maybe only $400

thoughts?

Actually $400-$500 sounds about right to me.

Agree w/Aurora, probably up to $300 if you can find someone who would appreciate a built computer over a new POS full of bloat-ware from the local retailer. I'd sell the monitor separately if you can.

thanks folks; i think i'll keep the monitor for now (crt's can't possible drop in value and more

) and try to get $400 for the desktop, or $300 at worst

I'd say $250 for the pc itself (not the monitor) if you are selling to someone who knows what they are talking about and knows what components are worth , but $500 if they don't

but that monitor sounds awesome.

Agreed, $250 - $300 sounds about right. With it not being dual core, only 1 GB of RAM, and a smaller HDD, you're pretty limited to how much you can get.

yes, it was a great buy; i got it used myself; it weighs some god-awful 50lbs or more

but it is gorgeous; great for games; even my xbox360 worked great with it, just crunched the screen to letterbox it, and it was great
