"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die."
Rutger Hauer is amazing in this, easily the most memorable part of the film.
I'd say Blade Runner is probably much more significant/important then Androids Dream of Electric Sheep simply because it cemented the cyberpunk aesthetic. Its influence is seen both in films and texts that proceeded it. Then again, my whole point of making the comparison was that both works are great in their own ways. Thematically, each work while sharing a good deal, diverge in different directions. That said, Scott has probably done the most for sci-fi film in recent years more so then any other single person. He's done Blade Runner and Alien, easily two of the best sci-fi films in the last few decades.
