Was looking at the HiFimediy Sabre USB DAC2 desktop unit but was wondering if there are any opinions on the new compact HiFimediy Sabre U2 yet?
What version of the HifimeDIY Sabre DAC should I go for?

I'd be interested in an opinion of the U2 as well. for $54, it seems to spec out the same as some $200 DACs.
