Hello Head-Fi,
 
My HE-400's are on their way and I'd like to know beforehand what should I use for burn in?
 
Does it matter what you use or can you just use them normally until "x" amount of time?

Music, and you can use them from day one

Lot's of different opinions on this. I start out just letting music play on random on low volume, increasing the volume every couple hours over the next 8 hours until it is at a listening level. Then I run some pink noise overnight at a low to moderate volume. I do music during the day, pink noise at night for a few days.
