I have quite a few records that I would like copied to my hard drive so I can play them through my Squeeze Box.
What is the best speed and bit rate that it will sound excellent but not use up a lot of disk space? I know that CDs are at 44.1K , 16 bit. Does it make sense to go higher?

Thanks

Pick up a good high end ADC, and sample them at 192/24.

I have a Presonus 1394 ADC that can go up to 92/24 but am I going to hear a difference between that and say 48/16? I image it will eat up some disk space, which I don't mind if the sound will be significantly better.
