I dont remember exactly, but most liekly it was listening to the main theme from The Rock by Hans Zimmer on my portable cassette player back in high school. I certainly remember it was always reliable for aceness.

Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding by Elton John on Sony reel to reel and Sony headphones. Don't know what it was. The system was my cousin's from Alaska. But, even with all the improvements in technology, I have rarely found that same head filled with magic.

Cheers Thaddy...you're the only other Houstonian I've seen 'round here.

New Order - "Substance" on my then-brand-new Sony D15 CDP. That was my first CD ever too, so I got blown away both by the quality of the sound and the music. And then I ran out and bought Depeche Mode 101. Talk about a 1-2 Double CD punch. Blew me away. I still listened to my hissy Jazz tapes and Vinyl, but man that was quite an experience back in the 80's.

Hard to say realy, but I can tell it was while back. Could be something along lines of Max Romeo or Clan of Xymox, I know those artists have pretty much nothing in common.

Latest was today listening through Chroma Keys Dead Air for Radios. Amazing album, too bad they're other albums ain't on par with that one, they have great albums, yes, but not as amazing as this one.

Oh man, mine must have been right after I got my Millett Hybrid Amp finished, and I was just cruisin thru my music collection. I was going thru The Lord of the Rings: ROTK and Into the West by Anne Murray. I was flippin the crossfeed filter level switch, and I CAME! It was really amazing, made all my DIY endevours(sp?) worth it!

Eric Clapton - Unplugged did it for me. I bought it with my newly purchased HD650 and boy, it was awesome to say the least.

Can't remember the first, but Nirvana's "Unplugged" CD is certainly one of them.

Just picked up Miles Davis "Kind of Blue". Eargasm over and over again with this album.

Very first, GO back a couple decades. Van Halen Eruption and Ozzy "Suicide Solution" off the Tribute Album.

The first time I heard Randy Rhoads I crapped in my pants.

More recently, SRV "Little Wing" through an RS1

Same here, Specifically the title song, my favorite Tool song. The album is the official "burn-in" album, and the title cut is the first song for every new can.

Good topic! I just got into the hobby and my first eargasm songs (since I got my headfive yesterday) are:

Ultramagnetic MC's - Watch Me Now
ABC - Show Me

Especially the ABC, so amazing! Makes me want to pickup the deluxe remastered version.
