What should Pink Floyd play at Live8?

Some soulful guitar work by David Gilmour on "comfortably numb", set the mood very well for this ocassion.

Yes who needs VJ "chatter" when there is great music.........shut up and listen to the music you VH1 idiots!

So, there we have it-- "Pink Floyd.... (featuring this dude Roger Waters on bass duties). Interesting that Gilmour was front and center, and then... oh yeah, that dude Waters, off to the side, has a song to do before we can leave..."

It would be fascinating to have been a fly on the wall to see how these gigantic egos resolved themselves into who would do what... Clearly Gilmour sees himself as Floyd, and this concert as a small side-show where that other guy, Waters, you know, who used to play with the band, was asked back to back up the REAL Pink Floyd...

Incredible, just incredible. That is probably the biggest moment in recent music history. And fricken VH1 had to cut in, I almost threw the remote at the TV!!

I'm watching the Pink Floyd performance on AOL Music, it is amazing. Anyone else watching it over AOL?

No AOL.......60" big screen, digital cable VH1 channel, home theater system for me.

unfortunately I didn't know if they would be showing the London show on American TV so I was watching on the comp
