Just wondering - does AKG have a consistent sound signature? I own a pair of 600ohm AKG K240 Monitors, but would like to get something that has velour pads.
 
The K240 MKII and the K702 are obvious options - I was wondering if they'd be consistent in sound sig. with the K240Ms. Should I look into other AKG phones (K601?)?

Perfect. I just gave them a call and ordered a pair. =)
 
Now....anyone know if recabling these makes a significant difference?
