Ah, but which version do you get on CD?

I like the Mobile Fidelity (gold CD) version for headphone listening.

I was using various CDs before, now I only use one:
Hooverphonic - A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular (1996)

It has everything you need for testing your headphones. Spectacular indeed.

I haven't really tested very much unfortunately but I reckon Sinnerman by Nina Simone would be on my test disc, its got a bit of everything! (apart from maybe bass). Hard to still still while your listening to it though, especially once it all starts layering up again after the hand claps! Dead Prez Hip Hop is good for bass/ the Red by Jaylib, or a good Jungle classic

What your familiar with seems to be pretty sound advice, no point testing out music thats never going to get played again after the demo!
