Supremus Power Factor (SPF)

Introduction

I thought of a new performance metric to quantify HeadFi poster performance/seniority. I call it the Supremus Power Factor. Unlike post count, it also takes into account the amount of time you've spent at HeadFi. The equation weights post count and time spent equally.

Considering I've been here seven years, that is a plus

And yes, I was bored today...

Under this formula, a poster with 1500 posts (a Supremus) that was here 1500 days (ie, 1 post per day) would have a Supremus Power Factor (SPF) of 1.

The Formula

It it's easiest form, the equation is:

(x^2)/(0.0075pc)

Where:

x = Total Post Count

p = Posts Per Day

c = The Speed of Light in m/s

(Total Post Count)(Total Post Count)/(0.0075 * Speed of Light * Posts per day)

Take your post count and raise it to the second power. Divide that by 0.0075 times the speed of light times your posts per day. You can do it in Google, since Google knows that c is the speed of light. (You can find out your posts per day in your profile.)

What you are REALLY doing is multiplying your total number of posts by the total number of days you've been at HeadFi, and then dividing it by 0.0075 times the speed of light.

The 0.0075 times the speed of light was an arbitrary constant I came up with in order to get it so a poster with 1500 posts at 1 post per day would have an SPF of 1.

Example

Let's use me as an example.

I have 1712 posts. I have 0.67 posts per day.

So:

(1712^2)/(0.67 * 0.0075 * c) = 1.95

Hence my Supremus Power Factor is 1.95

Interpretation

A HeadFi-er with a SPF greater than 1 has a better combination of time spent at HeadFi and post count than a member with 1500 posts who has been a member for 1500 days.

You can use SPF to compare time spent and post count between members. Your SPF cannot go down. Your SPF increases everyday and whenever you post.

Don't take this too seriously. I did this for fun.

So what is your SPF?

I can only wonder who will see this and shut up for a while just to have a higher SUPREMUS POWER FACTOR. (Or is that Sun Protection Factor?)

Also....

(791^2) / (0.0075 * 8.86 * c) = 0.0314077828 SPF

You calculated it wrong?

(4586^2) / (0.0075 * 11.64 * c) = 0.803587466

There is no incentive to shut up. Posting increases the number.

And yes....I chose SPF for fun because it's like sun screen.

Let me see...

(22588^2)/(12.18 * 0.0075 * c) = 18.63057691641

I got like 174064.91919054733125084883 first, but then I realized my calc didn't support the E notation, so it shrunk to a vanishing .23
