Just spent $295 more on Stax gear, and I'll have to add another $35 to that for a replacement headband part, so $330.

$990.50 gross, $965.50 net. 534 posts as of this one.

$1.85/post gross, $1.81/post net.

This isn't including the 100V-to-120V adapter I'll need for the amp, either...that could be another $30 or $40 spent. I'm just surprised I'm still below $2/post.

I've been through $5,100 of audio gear not counting money made back from sales, which divided by 1976 is $2.58 per post.

Ratio for gear I own right now is 58¢ per post.

$890 / 121 posts = $7.4/post

additionally, i don't remember what day in january '10 i created my account but if we assume it is the 1st, then i'm at 705 days which is $1.26/day margin of error of thirty days since i could very well have created it on the 31st that bumps it up to $1.32/day.

however, this $890 estimate is on the far low end because i have no recollection of shipping costs or taxes. it doesn't include the sound card i have because it was purchased before i joined head-fi and i considered it at the time not so much an audiophile purchase as a nice upgrade for a necessary computer component. the figure also doesn't include DIY raw materials (pcbs and articles from BOMs, wood, cable, soldering station additions, etc.) and tools that i have purchased for audio specific projects or have worn out during the course of various mod projects and builds. because ostensibly they could all have other non-audio applications and while i may have acquired them with audio in mind, they are not specific; not specialized. and even if i did include these, i have completely lost track of how much i've spent on DIY stuff. i think a lot of the DIY forum people have incalculable numbers.

$1457/2157=0.67547519703291608715808993973111

Not as high as some other people, that's for sure.

$25K (just guessing, no idea on actual) / 6850 posts = $3.65/post

I wonder how many 0-post Head-Fiers there are who've bought tons of gear. Division by 0 will not compute!

Just got a lot worse with the purchase of HE-500s and a used version 1 Gilmore Lite (a stopgap amp till I figure out what I want to power them with).
