What is your favorite tech of 05?

I haven't really added any new technologies this year, but a few things new to me:

1. Clipless pedals on my bikes. Speedplay Zeros on the road bike and Crankbros Candy on the MTB. A bit expensive, but definately worth it.

2. The public library and books. I have lived my life on a computer and the internet and always thought of books as archaic. I have had a computer most of my life and broadband for the last 7 years or so. This year I rediscovered the library and real books. Reading is a lot of fun and best of all the library is free. Free music from the library is nice too.

1. laptop / wireless internet
2. Squeezebox II
3. Micro Stack
4. Eastsound CD-e5

but all this is easily trounced by my low-tech Baume & Mercier Capeland.

1. The PSP (no doubt)
2. The Pentium D chip
3. Samsung's DLP TV.

Heck, I've had DSL for so long that when I got it you could only have a static IP.

4. Gwen Stefani

1) PVR
2) Xbox 360
3) Eastsound CD E5

PVR has made television much more enjoyable. I would not even consider not owning one now.

The Xbox is sweet. It's nice to have some vids back in my living room! The fact that it supports HD is just gravy.

The E5 is the single best upgrade I could have made to my system for the money I was willing to pay. I'm thrilled with the result.

(1) Beyer DT880
(2) Sony D-33 PCDP
(3) Cardas Mini-Mini cable

Needless to say, I haven't bought much stuff this year.

I guess so, considering you already voiced your utter hatred for the Cardas mini-mini

Naah, said I was disappointed, that's all. Actually I'm no longer disappointed, it's a pretty good cable.
