PXC550 is able to use a wire. The sound quality isn't the best but it's still (one of) the best noise canceling headphones. I prefer the Momentum 2

You say sound quality but are you looking for open back, closed back? What type of sound signature do you like? What is your budget?

Fishing this old thread, what would be a wired closed back equivalent to the PXC 550 II?
And when used wired is it any different from the Bluetooth?
