I am curious on if there are any tricks to get better audio.

1. Which music player is recommended? I use Music Bee without tweaks.

2. As a DAC i am using the Fiio e17. It is pluged to my Pc via USB. Now in the settings i can choose between various options.
Under "advanced", i can choose  2 Channel  32000-96000khz and 16/24bit.
Which option is recommended again?

3. A "hiss" Question.
Now if i listen to my Q701 +E9k/e17, i hear a hizz on high gain. ( yes i use high gain to get to the 9-12 a clock spot which seems to be the amps sweet spot)
However if change to optical (Ps3 plugged), there is no hiss at all.
Can you explain my this?

1. MusicBee is fine. You might want to make sure the WASAPI support is enable.

2. Set for the highest setting.

3. Always use lowest gain if you can. However, it might be a ground loop issue from the USB port that causes the problem. In that case, an USB isolator might be needed. If the hissing isn't too serious a problem in low hiss, just use it as it is and save the money.

Thanks for your advice.

I got one more Question: If my Fii0 e9k/e17 is connected to my PC, it is via USB.
However, that means that i can only go up to 96KHz/24 bit. In comparsion, The SPDIF connection allows up to 192KHz/24bit.

Does that make a difference?

When i play Music from the CD with MusicBee, the Player says: CDA 44.1kHz 1411k, Stereo 3.32
Is that normal that it has such a low khz?
What does the 1411k stand for?

Going from 24/96 to 24/196 should only make a difference if your music is encoded in resolution/bitdepth higher than 24/96. CD is 16/44.1 in default, and will give you the full range sound that human can hear - in short, you are not missing anything.

1411k(bps) is standard for CDA (CD audio, which is wave) file, similar to what we say in mp3 file of '320kbps' bitrate.  It means 'kilo bit per second', the density or amount of digital data in every second.

Thank you for your help, ClieOS.

i have one final Question^^.

If i play music which only support 44.1 kHz but have setup my e17 to 96KHz/24 bit, is it not "upsampling" from 44.1 kHz to 96kHz?
Do i get inferior quality or is it ok.

Just want to be very sure.

No, E17 don't support upsampling. It will play the music at its default resolution / bitdepth. However, as I have said before, you are not missing anything.
