shawnbowski: I don't know about the price level in the US, but I guess the Harman Kardon HK3470 should be somewhere around your price range.

I'd say a Denon 1802. I bought mine about 8 months ago for $300

But it's a good rec, nonetheless. A good used integrated like the Alpha One or an NAD 300-series would be perfect.

I nearly bought an Arcam AV 200 (for recording 5.1 original music) but decided not to at the last minute because of power issues. I'm thinking the 45TX might be better suited to my purposes (and my speakers).

Why am I mentioning the AV 200 on a $200 thread? Because it was a demo model without a remote for $300 and change.
