What is, in your opinion, the SMOOTHEST song you can think of?

OK - here is my thought process.  There are certain songs when you hear them, you just say to yourself, "now that is one smooth/cool song."  And here are some of the ones that are on my list.

I would love to hear you thoughts on this topic as well so I can discover some new ultra-smooth songs to my library.

GRAVITY by John Mayer

TAKE FIVE by Dave Brubeck

MY ROMANCE by Dave Brubeck

I know that I am not listing very many, but I want to leave room for others to add.

This does not need to be in the "JAZZ" genre, but I heard these today and they made me think that others MUST think similarly as I am.

Any song by Madeleine Peyroux. I love the way she sings.

Yes indeed, I hope you have her "MO-FI" Vinyl copies, they're un-real!!!   I will add "Sweet Jayne" by Cowboy Junkies.....And I know it's old and played to death but "Yesterday" by (don't even need to fill the name of the artist in, Do I!!)

At the moment, I would have to say John Scofield's "Jeep on 35". One of my coworkers let me borrow his "A Go Go" cd and it is pretty amazing!

I cannot find the AMPHIBIAN by Bjork or the WATER CHILDREN by Don Haynes.  I have checked my 2 normal spots...iTunes and Amazon mp3 downloads.

Any advice on where I can find these that are iTunes friendly?

Thanks for the advice and feedback so far - I have added 3 or 4 so far and have agreed with most ALL the responses so far.

Keep 'em coming!
